Dear Blackfield community,ticket sales boomed tremendously in the last few weeks, thus our ticket allocation in the shop is exhausted – this is something we had not expected and kindly thank you for your keen interest! 14.04.2012 - Running order update / IGNIS FATUU
Dear Blackfield friends,due to a schedule conflict with another festival’s running order OOMPH! will play on Saturday (23.06.12) and SALTATIO MORTIS will play on Sunday (24.06.12).
Furthermore QNTAL had to cancel the show on Blackfield 2012, but we’re sure that IGNIS FATUU are a good replacement.

Dear Blackfield Easter Bunnys,we wish you happy holidays and resurrect an old Easter tradition, that some of you might know. It’s the Easter egg hunt. We hid some eggs at our homepage, find’em and you’ll get all information about our easter raffle.
Additonally we are happy to announce the RUNNING ORDER for 2012!
Furthermore: You don't have an own tent at hand or you're not keen on carrying or pitching all the camping equipment by yourself? Then you're in good hands of the crew of www.mein-zelt-steht-schon.de ! They not only have tents and other camping accessories to rent, but they're also assembling this stuff. So you just have to arrive at the Blackfield Festival, move into the tent and start to party!

Even though there are more than 3 months to go until the 5. Blackfield Festival, most bands have been announced and ticket sales are record-breaking, there are three more band confirmations:DEATHSTARS | STAHLMANN | ROTERFELD
By adding this package we are able to present you an outstanding and balanced line-up that combines the different musical styles of the scene for a reasonable price. There is no other festival which offers a comparable choice of bands for the same price and which has such limited capacities at the same time. The Amphitheater cannot be extended and thus the ticket contingency is limited as well. However, due to careful ticket management there are still some on stock. So those of you who want to celebrate the 5th anniversary with us should get their tickets before it is too late.
If you like gambling, you should check our BLACKFIELD FACEBOOKPROFILE. There you can take part in a raffle- the prize: 3 fan packages. It is definitely worth taking part!

02.02.2012 - THE EXPLODING BOY & OOMPH! confirmed for 2012!
Dear Blackfield friends,the recently confirmed bands are WELLE:ERDBALL, WETO- the side project of some SCHANDMAUL musicians, SECRET DISCOVERY, FUNKER VOGT and the Allstar-band of FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM founder Tony Pettitt, THE EDEN HOUSE. Now SOLITARY EXPERIMENTS , X-DIVIDE , THE EXPLODING BOY and OOMPH! are confirmed for Blackfield 2012!
In the last few weeks the line-up has made considerable progress: the headliners IN EXTREMO and VNV NATION clearly show a direction: Blackfield is going to be a well-rounded combination of electronic music and guitar sounds with some medival herbs to add extra flavour to your Gothic dinner. You can look forward to SALTATIO MORTIS, FAUN’s pure medival music and the acoustic performance of SUBWAY TO SALLY – singer ERIC FISH.

Dear friends of the Blackfield Festival,thank you very much for your participation in our raffle. We were overwhelmed by that reaction and thus it is our pleasure to confirm two more bands today:
The allstar project THE EDEN HOUSE and FUNKER VOGT will be our guests at Blackfield 2012.

20.01.2012 - 3 new confirmations for Blackfield 2012!
After some artists were confirmed in the Blackfield Advent Calendar we are happy to present three more artists for our anniversary festival at the Amphitheater Gelsenkirchen: SECRET DISCOVERY, WETO and WELLE:ERDBALL.By inviting SECRET DISCOVERY the Blackfield Festival clearly demonstrates its strong ties to the Ruhr Area. The dark rock band from Bochum will play an exclusive festival concert at the Blackfield 2012. Furthermore there will be two other premieres with WETO and WELLE:ERDBALL. For Both of them it is the first appearance at Blackfield and they wil certainly rock the house. So 16 out of 30 bands are now confirmed!
You can purchase the precious original Blackfield Festival tickets at our shop. However, due to high demand, we would like to remind you to order tickets quickly.
From Friday, 20th January till Friday, 27th January we will raffle 3 surprise boxes including 4 cds and a shirt. Just visit our Facebooksite and write a comment.

It was one of those moments in which you hold your breath and adrenaline is pumping in your veins but there is nothing you can do but watching helplessly how a great show has to be cancelled due to technical problems. The band was fighting till the last minute, even delivering unplugged versions of their songs to win time, hoping that they would be able to fix the problems and continue for the fans at the Blackfield Festival 2011– however they finally had to give up and leave the stage. Therefore we are very happy to be able to make up for that cancelled show and bring them back to Gelsenkirchen next year. COMBICHRIST will play Blackfield 2012!Hitherto confirmed bands:

Dear Blackfield community,one month after the start of advance ticket sales we are happy to announce three new bands that are confirmed for BLACKFIELD FESTIVAL 2012: AGONOIZE, CULTURE KULTÜR and PAKT. We are extremely pleased about that because these bands will play Blackfield for the very first time. Having done our homework by studying the feedback sheets intensely we would like to offer you a line-up that matches all the criteria that you requested.

The bands can’t wait to turn the Amphitheater into a magical place filled with black hearts and a great atmosphere. The feedback we have had so far and the confirmed bands will certainly guarantee a full house. Tickets are available at advance ticket agencies nationwide and at the BLACKFIELD FESTIVAL SHOP:
Special offer: the first 555 tickets that are purchased from the BLACKFIELD FESTIVAL SHOP come with an exclusive anniversary shirt free of charge – so ordering quickly pays off! The T-shirts have a limited design and are shipped in the desired size along with the tickets.

Dear friends,thank you for making the 4. Blackfield Festival an unforgettable event. Last weekend showed us once more that this festival’s atmosphere is truly magical. We, the Blackfield Festival Team, would like to thank the 5.000 visitors who came to share great moments with us. We will never forget the great time we had with you and hope that we can repeat this next year. Of course, we also want to thank our team and the artists who turned this festival into something so great!

During the Blackfield Festival we asked all VIPs or visitors who were on the guestlist to donate some money for the German Association for Bone Marrow Donation (DKMS). We are happy to announce that we raised 538,00 € - and the Blackfield Festival increased the funding so that 700,- € will go to the DKMS.

On August 15th we will launch the advance ticket sale for the 5. BLACKFIELD FESTIVAL at the Amphitheater Gelsenkirchen (yes, it’s the 5th anniversary- which calls for a big celebration!!). By this time we will also announce the first headliners of next year’s festival!
