The Folk-Rock band SCHANDMAUL, originally planned to be a side project of guitar player Martin Duckstein and singer Thomas Lindner , became an instant success in 1998 and thus there was less and less time left for WETO. So at the beginning of 2000 they decided to put WETO on hold for a while. Years later while touring with Schandmaul they developed the idea of reactivating their former project as some kind of creative playground, as Thomas puts it. Since the former band mates Benni and Mick had no time, the Schandmaul musicians Stefan Brunner (Drums) and Matthias Richter (Bass) decided to take part in the band. Yet the current album „Schattenspieler“ is an autonomous work, powerful and enthralling.
